My Mum Tracey “aka Marge” is AMAZING and as cliched as it might sound I wouldn’t have got where I am today without her dedication & sacrifices.
She has been and will continue to be a huge support and the most important member of my team. From the age of 2 she has been integral to developing my riding and career over the years as well as running of the yard up until this year. She comes to numerous events throughout the year and is the best Tea maker on the eventing circuit. I think the owners love her as much as I do.
Zanie joins the team full time from January 2016 to run the Yard & be my full time travelling groom at all events.
Zanie is also a great friend having been through the amazing highs and some terrible lows with me. She knows me and the horses inside out and therefore is a huge support to me, always loyal and it is an absolute privilege to work with someone so dedicated and professional. I do not have to think about anything she is one step ahead of me (and everyone else!) and I never have to check or second guess anything. So I am thrilled to have her on board.
She is highly regarded within the industry and over the years has groomed for many riders including William Fox Pitt, Leslie Law, Giovanni Ugolotti to name just a few.
She was Pippa Funnell’s Head Girl for four years, winning Groom of the year in 2003 and was also part of Pippa’s team, making History in 2003 by winning the Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing. She also ran with her husband Chris King Eventing a professional eventing business for 10 years.
Jodie joined the team in the middle of July 2016 having finished her G.C.S.E’s. Although she is our youngest team member she is no stranger to being in a compeititive environment having competed in numerous dressage competitions with her Pony “Patrick”

Jodie is a member of the British Grooms Association and is currently working on her Intermediate workbook of the Equine Skills CV and by the end of 2017 she aims to have completed the Advanced Workbook & obtained her HGV licence.
Jodie, always has a smile on her face & has lots of enthusiam and incredibly keen to learn. Jodie has and will continue to be a trust asset to the team. Her dedication and hard work have been amazing 🌟
Jimmy has been with me since 2012 and is employed as a Yard/Handyman. He has an agricultural backgound and helps at a number of racing yards & farms in the local area, but mucks out mornings and afternoons and in between helps with the maintenance side of things which I couldn’t manage without i.e. all field maintenance & managment including fertilising, fencing, poo picking, topping, and all the tractor work the list could go on & on!!
WE LOVE Jimmy he is an integral part of the team and irreplaceable.
Elodie joined the team on the 1st July 2017, whilst having enjoyed her time working as cabin crew for British Airways we are thrilled she decided to return to her equestrian roots.
Elodie has a great sense of fun and some amazing experiences to add to the yard, she left school and spent 2 years at the British Racing School in Newmarket, training for her NVQ2 in Racehorse Care and Riding. This included a year’s work in Lambourn, with trainer Clive Cox, giving her experience of riding lots and handling young colts & stallions. To continue her passion for travel & racing she moved to the other side of the world to work for Jake Stevens Racing yard in Australia working at both the yard and at the races. On her return to the UK she spent a season with Gifford’s Circus, an eclectic vintage circus that tours the Cotswolds.
Elodie has a wonderfully calm manner on the yard and around the horses, she’s a lovely easy person & within a short space of time, shown how trustworthy & conscientious she is. Whilst we are thrilled Elodie is a competent first aider and no doubt will react well in an emergency situations due to her BA training we hope that’s one skill we won’t be using too soon.
Claire is the “office” and has been part of Team since 2009. She looks after all the administration / secretarial jobs relating to the business, the day-to-day financial affairs and monthly billing, assists me with managing all of my sponsorship/PR/Marketing inc the website, staff recruitment, etc or basically anything not directly related to the actual day to day care of the horses.
Tom Campbell of Bourton Vale Equine Clinic is our regular vet and he is fantastic. The horses’ care is always paramount. He is actively involved in all aspects of his practice, running their scintigraphy (bone scanning) unit and can turn his hand to surgery when required.
He particularly specialises in lameness investigations, predominantly racehorse, polo and sport horses. The vets and staff continue to support us through our trials and tribulations and we’re very grateful for their excellence.
Leigh Miller is a registered human and animal McTimoney Chiropractor.
Leigh’s clientele list reads like a who’s who of eventing. She visits the yard on a monthly basis for the horses regular MOT’s or a physical problem has arisen. She travels to many of the national and international three day events to help keep the horses in tip top condition. Leigh looks after the New Zealand eventing team and goes with them to many big competitions including the 2012 Olympics!
As well as keeping the horses in top shape she has also manages to keep me on the straight and narrrow each visit!!
Alice is an experienced and skilled massage therapist, specialising in equine sports rehabilitation and therapeutic massage.
Dave is a multiple-times English National Champion and Team England member, who has competed all over Europe and North America, including the Calgary Stampede’s World Championship. He’s determined to make a difference and does so. In fact in 2013 he won the “best shod foot at Badminton” as he decorated the toe clips with four-leaf clovers for good luck.
No yard can succeed without the help of a good farrier. Chris keeps the horses’ feet in top condition, and as he’s on our doorstep is able to put a shoe back on at short notice.
